The Mt. Pleasant Diamond Warriors is a competitive travel baseball program designed to maximize the development and enjoyment of each individual participant in helping to keep them on a path to reach their individual goals. We understand that the level each participant reaches in the game of baseball is due to a number of factors. Some of them include the individual's basic talent level, family support system, and practice and playing environment. However, the most important things we have found in determining individual development and team success are attitude and work ethic. We try to involve "good kids" and place them in a challenging practice and game environment. It is our goal to provide a program that is fun for the individual regardless of how many of that individual's goals are met. We understand that most of the kids we have will not make it the Major Leagues but they can learn a great deal about themselves and the game of life through our program. We hope that all of our participants reach their individual goals but more importantly leave our program better individuals with a greater respect and love for the game. These young players are our future parents and volunteer coaches that will one day help to shape the community they live in a positive manner.

We have continued to change the way we conduct practices and the length of our playing season to ensure we are providing enough training and recreation without risking too much play that may lead to burnout or injury. We will not risk a pitcher's arm to win a championship game that could be won by another player stepping up to help his team but many times has not been given the chance.

Our past and future success has been and will be based on positive relationships we have developed in our community and communities we visit. The partnership between the Town of Mount Plesant and the Diamond Warriors Baseball Program has been a very positive ingredient in reaching our goals each season. When traveling we hold our coaches, players and parents to the highest standards whether it be on the field, in the hotel, or visiting restaurants or shopping centers.

Many thanks to all of those families that have helped to shape our program into what it is today. Hopefully we will continue on a positive path in providing a quality baseball program for all of our participants.
